Pacifica Island Life | Palette Review

If you read my previous post. My May Ipsy unbagging, then you have seen this little palette already.

The Pacifica Island Life palette contains five shimmer shades, and retails for a price I can not find. However, their similar palettes retail for around $14. If you use the code PACLOVE on Ulta.com you can get Pacifica products for 20% off!

Shades from left to right:

  • Skinny Dip
  • Coral Sand
  • Golden
  • Treasure
  • Sandalwood

They are all extremely pigmentedand buttery. They are all also shimmery shades, so I would recommend a companion palette for mattes. I used The Balm Meet Matte Trimony palette

The look:

  1. I used the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer, and set it with the cream shade from the Balm palette
  2. I used the lightest brown from the same palette as my transition shade.
  3. Now into the Pacifica palette! I put Golden all over my lid.
  4. On the outer third of my eye and on my lower lash line I placed Treasure.
  5. To deepen up my outer crease I used Sandalwood.
  6. For my inner corner I decided to go with Coral Sand.
  7. Finally, to high light my Brow bone I used Skinny Dip.

I was very pleased with how my look turned out! I recommend patting all of these shadows onto the eye, instead of sweeping, sense they are all so buttery. You just have to work with them. I personally do prefer some mattes in every look, so this is not an all in one palette for me. But, I do really enjoy having it because it contains stunning neutral shades.

I really do love the brand Pacifica itself. They are a natural, vegan, cruelty free brand, that is not outrageously priced. They seem to always be on sale at Ulta.

Over all 🌴🌴🌴🌴 not five, because you do have to actually work with them, so it takes a little time.

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading! Have you tried any Pacifica eyeshadows? Comment your thoughts below!

My black heads have been particularly horrendous lately, so this is very welcome.

I really love Luxie, so I get really excited every time I see a new one of their brushes in a subscription box! I use a brush like this to apply primer, so I will probably use this for something similar.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques pressed shadow “Sweet Pea” $14.50 value

I was really excited for this product. But mine arrived broken. I guess I can just press it. I really don’t feel like asking for a new one.

The shade is still really pretty!

“Energizing clear mind aromatherapy mist that inspires alertness and energy”

I really believe essential oils make a difference, for me at least. Clear mind, smells great and will be perfect for days I am stressed and flustered.

Pair’d Beauty Dry Shampoo $6 value

“Organic Dry Shampoo with enticing aromas of sweet cali orange and a hint of eucalyptus.”

You can really smell the eucalyptus. I think this fact will make this Pair’d dry shampoo awesome for my really itchy scalpe. I have never used a try Shampoo that is a liquid.

Nubian Heritage facial cleansing bar $5 value

Gentle African black soap facial cleansing bar that naturally removes impurities without over drying.

I love using cleansing bars after I remove my make up. This one is anti-acne, so that will be nice.

Lip Sense First Impressions

* products were sent to me for trial and review*

Finally, I have tried Lip Sense! The entire brand is cruelty free, vegan, and gluten free! So, when the lovely Jessica Prince asked if I wanted to try out Lip Sense, I could not pass it up!!

Find her Face Book Page Kissed by a Prince, to purchase your own lipsense products, and check out more from the brand!

I received the Lip Sense collection, which retails for $55. It contains one Lip shade, the glossy gloss, and the oops! remover.

I received the shade RoseBerry.

Isn’t it beautiful! It is the perfect pinky red shade.

Right after application

The process of applying the shade is really important. Your lips have to be clean, and you have to do three coats, and each coat has to dry before you can apply the next. This is important so that the product stays on like the claims say it will.

After applying the shade and everything is dry. You apply the gloss of top.

And yes, everything does tingle when applied. 😂

6 hours later:

I did not reapply the color, but also did not reapply the gloss before eating like I was supposed to. Like I said this is just a first impression post 😂. Also, ignore by face, th NYX Stay Matte foundation hates me now.

Honestly, it may look patchy, but for six hours? I’m still a little impressed. The color is still on my lips. I think it would have looked so much better, if I would have applied the gloss like I was supposed. But, if the gloss doesn’t make a difference, then I will be a little let down, because the hype for this stuff is so real!

I did want to note that I could not really get the Oops! remover to work on my lips or swatches.

I will be updating you all (on here or YouTube or Instagram).

Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you tried this product or anything from the line? Comment your thoughts below!

Petit Vour | April 2017

It is finally Petit Vour time! This is a cruelty free, vegan, and green Beauty Box that cost $15 per month. It usually has some pretty high priced product samples in it.

Marie Natie Lip Gloss “Tickled” $19

This gloss feels really nice, and it is a beautiful summer/spring shade.

“Coconut and jojoba oil moisturize and smooth surface of lips to maximize wearability.”

French Girl Organics Cuticle Oil $10

My nails and cuticles sucks. They are so crappy and dry. Any cuticle oil is okay by me.

“This luxurious blend of high potency extracts and essential oils with a citrus rose scent makes for a powerful treatment for healthier nails and cuticles.”

Suntegrity Skincare Makeup W/ SPF “Fair” $5

During hot weather I love tinted moisturizers, especially with SPF in it. I was really glad to see the shade was on that will actually suit my skin tone.

“Did you know that nearly every sun care product on the market contains toxic ingredients? Suntegrity is the answer to anyone who ever wondered if an effective, holistic sun care line exists.”

Nubian Heritage Patchouli & Buriti Body Lotion $3

I actually already own the soap that goes with this lotion, so I was excited to receive this, it smells fantastic.
