ELF Color Correcting Stick (Dark circles) | Gem or Dud?

Some times 8 hours of sleep just does not happen. Seriously, I am usually lucky to get 5 with how my work schedule and life have been lining up. So dark circles are something I deal with everyday.

However, finding an under eye correcter is hard! A lot of the time there is too much orange, not enough coverage, or is so dry that it is not even worth it. So, when I am presented with a Cruelty Free correcter, ya better believe I am picking it up, especially when it is only $4!!

here, you can check out the other colors they offer.

The formula is said to blend-able and creamy, yet high coverage. The ingredients also contain Vitamin E, so your under eyes stay hydrated. Sounds like a God send, but is it?

  • I primed my face with the BellaPiere primer I got in a Vegan Cuts Makeup box a few weeks back. I then applied the correcter straight from the stick under my eyes.

I have to say, it is very creamy. This made it very easy to blend out with my beauty blender, and another day, very easy to blend out with a brush. But, each time this happened…

The dark circles are the part of my nose next to my eyes are still just as dark, and there was very little improvement under my eyes. However, after I applied some banana powder under my eyes it helped a little. I do have to give it some credit, my under eyes felt amazing! The powder didn’t crease and they never developed the gross dry feeling that they tend to by the end of the night.

Over All:

If you are expecting this to be an amazing inexpensive color correcter, not going to happen. I am sorry to say. But, it could work as an under eye tinted moisturizer? Eh, there would be an orange tinge, so it couldn’t be used alone. quite honestly, I would just pass on this product, I think I am going to be passing it along myself. DUD.

I hope you enjoyed this little review. I know it isn’t the best, but I wanted to let y’all know, sense I am hearing a lot about it lately. Have you tried this product? What do you think? 1. Have you tried Revlon Colorstay Concealer to cover up dark circles? It tends to crease but for few hours it’s a good helper. Of course, if you want to be up and about a whole day it probably won’t do much for the circles. Overall although the Revlon Colorstay Concealer is a great product! 🙂 Ps, I started to follow you in instagram too.

  2. You might want to look into the Nyx Dark Circle Corrector line. I think they have five shades or so, so you should be able to find one that covers enough without looking orange.
