Makeup Brushes, which ones am I traveling with?

makeupbrush

*Disclaimer: I do not always travel with these SPECIFIC brushes. I have a ton of brushes, so the ones that I use change up all the time. These are, however, the types of brushes I always make sure to take when traveling.

One thing I love about make-up brushes is that there are so many different ways they can be used on the face, not just for there intended purpose. When I travel I make it a point to grab multi-use brushes.

Let’s start with the FACE BRUSHES:

The first product is not a brush, but a sponge.

It is the same beauty blender knock off that I mentioned in a previous post. Now, it is no where near a dupe for the Beauty Blender. The Beauty Blender is an angel with out wings that God graced the beauty world with. This sponge is pretty soft, and extremely use able.It is also much easier for me to get in a pinch than a Beauty Blender. The closest Sephora to me is 2 hours away, Wal-Mart is 10 mins. I actually purchased this sponge because my friends cat tore up my last beauty blender at the time. ( I have since gotten more.) I obviously use this to blend my foundation, concealer, and cream products.

Get it here for $4.73

E.L.F Complexion Brush:

I love this brush. It is great for applying bronzer and does a great job at setting my face. I also like to use it to seamlessly blend my face make-up together, leaving no harsh lines.

$4 on the E.L.F website!

Real Techniques Blush Brush:

I have mentioned this brush before. It is my current favorite blush brush. I also enjoy using it to blend out my contour. I will even occasionally use it to bronze up my face, it is great for that as well.

Purchase it on the real techniques site for $9. ( I recommend getting their brush sets, more for your money)

Wet n’ Wild Contour Brush:

I have been using this brush to powder contour a lot lately. I also like using it to set my under eye area. I highly recommend picking up this brush line, they are really nice, super inexpensive, and very cute!

Get it here for only $.99!

Random Fan Brush:

I really like to apply my highlight with a fan brush. It makes the highlight seem much more subtle, which I enjoy. I also use it to whisk away fall out!

The fan brush pictured is a brush I got with some random brush collection.

Now for EYE BRUSHES:

Wet n’ Wild Large Shadow Brush:

I use this to apply shadow all over my lid, i also use it to deposit darker shades in my outer V area.

Get it here, also for only $.99!

Crown Brush Pointed Crease Brush:

This is my favorite crease brush. I got one in an Ipsy bag then ordered 2 more, just so I will always have them.

Get it on sale for only $4.95!

E.L.F eye contour brush:

I love using this brush to really blend my shadows. It also helps a ton when I am blending them out, but do not want them too dispersed.

Here it is on the elf website for $3!

Skone Smudger Brush:

This is another brush I was introduced to by Ipsy. I have really been loving it to smoke out my lower lash line. I also use it a lot to smudger eyeliner on my top lash line when I do not want such a precise line.

Purchase it here for $12.00

Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush:

I use this blush to blend shadows, highlight my brow bone, set my eye primer, and apply my transition shade. Usually Wet n’ Wilds “Creme Brulee”.

Get it here for $5.99!

What are your favorite brushes right now? Any you recommend picking up? Let me know beautifuls!

  1. I have been loving the Luxie brushes I have received from Ipsy so far. Especially the angled bronzing brush. I’ve been really wanting to try the wet n wild brushes. I may pick these up to add to my collection 🙂
